Not much work. But looks good.

DIY:

• Take a space wallpaper with lots of color in it. 
• Make two copies of it and rotate by 120 and 240 degrees respectively. 
• Add some shadows. 
• Throw in some blur. 
• Add a cool text (symmetric would be nice). 

And there you have it; a self-manipulated wallpaper for your desktop.
